There is still much to be done to improve the impact of this product. Gregor is one of the few with a chance of producing accessible, high quality alpaca products with yarn he sources directly and without exploitation. This competitiveness allows us to reach more potential customers, which is necessary for enabling change on a greater scale. Each of his products contributes to this key goal.

    • Hand wash cold
    • Machine wash wool - no spin
    • Dry flat
    • Iron at low temperature
    • Do not spin or tumble dry

Avoid washing wool as much as possible. Unlike synthetics, alpaca wool does not retain much odour. Hanging the item out to air from time to time is usually enough. If it does need washing, use a detergent for delicates.

We recommend not using softener, as it coats the fibre and reduces its moisture and temperature regulating capacity.

Store hanging or folded in your closet. If storing folded, do not fold too tightly to avoidcreases. Also place a moth deterrent like cedar balls near your wool products, as moths can infest these and cause severe damage to your garments.

If your scarf starts to pill, i.e. forms fuzzy balls on the surface, you can remove them using a wool brush. This also helps against dust, we do not advise using a dust roll as this can bring the more itchy fibres to the surface.
